Grants

We would like to hear from any community groups active in the area who have projects up and running (or are very close to launching one) which would benefit from some support and funding.

We, the team at the Rural Design Centre, will work with you, to fully understand the challenge and ambition that you have, and together we will shape a project proposal for funding from the Council. This would be via a series of workshops or similar, depending on the specific community requirement. The funding has come from the Shared Prosperity Fund, and will be distributed via DCC.

A community isn’t just an area of land – a postcode or village, town, suburb or street. It’s people. It’s goodwill. It’s coming together to achieve a shared goal or offer support in a crisis.  It is all of these things and more and in the Stanley area we’re lucky to have such strong bonds that will see us through the difficult situations and emerge a more robust, more united community.
