I’m not sure if this form is the correct place for my comment or even if apprentices have already been engaged.
Just wanted to point out that DCC are the corporate parent of looked after children and my understanding is that they are considering offering apprenticeships to their care leavers. Much in the same way as if a parent owned a business they would consider offering a place for their child. Obviously I don’t know the ins and outs of the civic halls situation and the long term impact this would have but just wanted to offer this for consideration.
