Comms & Events Papers Uploaded 4- 10-16

The Agenda and papers for next week’s Communications & Events meeting have been uploaded. This meeting is the one where the Committee reviews the events it has organised over the summer and makes recommendations to Full Council about what events the Town Council should organise and fund in the next financial year, so it is an important meeting.

As always, the meeting is open to the public and this agenda has an open forum where members of the public can put forward ideas and suggestions for consideration by the Committee.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday 4th October 2016, 6.30 pm in the Civic Hall

Stanley AAP Forum Event and Small Grants Fund 2015/16 Launch

Stanley AAP is providing the opportunity for local groups and organisations to apply for a small grant to help them deliver projects and activities in the Stanley area.

Funding of £30,000 has been made available by Stanley AAP and we would like to invite local organisations to consider submitting an application.  You can apply for a grant of between £500 and £2,000 and your project / activity must fit in to one of our local priorities.
The Stanley AAP Forum Event is taking place on Saturday 14th November 2015, from 10.00am until 2.00pm in The Masonic Hall, Scott Street, Stanley, DH9 8AD.  Local groups are encouraged to attend the Event and pick up an Small Grants application pack.

In addition to the launch of the ‘Small Grants Fund’ a wide range of local community groups and service providers will also be attending to promote their activities and services.

A really vital part of the AAP Forum Event is also to ask local people to vote for their most important priorities – the things that you think matter the most to you and your community.
