Neighbourhood Wardens in Stanley
In addition to funding the Civic Pride Officer, the Town Council also provides funding to enable the County Council to enhance the Neighbourhood Wardens Service in Stanley.
Neighbourhood Wardens gather local intelligence by attending local community meetings and are also a point of contact for the public to be able to report issues directly.
All of the Neighbourhood Wardens are now fully trained and able to issue Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN’s). However, their wide-ranging roll involves working with residents and communities where possible in order to improve the local environment, and reduce the level of anti-social behaviour.
Nevertheless, in the small minority of cases where people won’t play by the rules, they can and do take enforcement action.
Neighbourhood Wardens are now embedded onto a new County Wide shift pattern. This will assist and partner our approach to low levels of ASB (anti-social behaviour).
The Wardens are available during the hours of 07:00 – 22:00. If a member of the public wishes to contact a Warden, regarding ASB, during office hours, please dial 03000 261000, outside of office hours please call the police non-emergency number 101 and ask for the Neighbourhood Warden team.
